Disconnect Service

Sold Home - To request a final read and disconnect service, call our office at 801-968-3551 up to two weeks prior to the disconnect date. You will need to verify ownership over the phone and provide us with a forwarding address where to send the final bill.

Temporary Service Option - To ensure accurate account management, GHID does not place accounts on hold for extended periods. However, customers who plan to be away for more than three months may request a temorary service shutoff. 

A one-time $75 service fee applies to this request. This fee covers:

  • A visit to your property to safely turn the water off
  • A final meter read and bill processing
  • A return visit to restore water service when you come back
