Both iron and manganese can precipitate (fall out in a solid form) while travelling through the distribution system. When this happens, the water may become yellow or brown. This often happens in the spring when the wells are turned on, and during construction when pipelines are turned off and on again.  If this happens, please contact us so we can investigate the issue. Usually, if you flush your lines for 15 to 30 minutes, the water will clear up.
